Hosting a princess birthday party for your child? If you want some special princess party food to serve up we have loads of great ideas. Child-friendly, healthy and fun, you will definitely find something to make your princess party extra dazzling.
Pizza crowns
This idea is so fun and perfect for a princess party. Either use ready-made pizza bases and stamp them out with a crown cookie cutter, or make your own dough. Decorate with all your guest’s favourite toppings so they look like jewels.
Rapunzel plaits
Theme your buffet food around the Disney princesses with things like these Rapunzel plaits. Easy to make using ready roll puff pastry that can be cut into strips, plaited and baked. Add in some cheese for a savoury snack or chocolate spread for dessert.

Cinderella’s pumpkins
This idea is so cute and easy to prepare. Just peel some satsumas (or any type of small orange) and put a stalk in the top. These ones are bis of celery but you could use cucumber or green beans.
Sprinkle the magic
Spread magic to your guests with these star sprinkle sandwiches. Cut the bread into equal-sized squares, cut a star shape in the top slice and fill with sprinkles.
Ariel’s fish friends
She might be a mermaid but she still becomes a princess so don’t leave Ariel out of the party. Invite her fish friends with snacks and sweets to keep your guests topped up during the fun.
Cinderella brooms
Invite your guests to a bit of sweeping up with these edible brooms. Just make them out of Rice Krispie treats and a pretty bow. Straws instead of sticks make pretty broom handles.
Wave a magic wand
BE a fairy godmother with these fruit kebab wands. Perfect for a princess party and healthy as well. Create the star shape from cutting out watermelon with a cookie cutter. If your guests are particularly young, remember to half grapes before putting them on the stick.
Crown the table
Make your food spread particularly regal with these beautiful crown cookies. The one-colour decoration makes them look really stylish and it’s actually easy to achieve with a bit of piping and some jelly candies.

Princess cupcakes
This sweet treat for the end of the meal is perfectly in theme. Each cupcake has an icing ‘skirt’ in the colour to match the Disney princess cake topper. I love how easy and how impressive these are!
Princess milkshake
Don’t forget that your guests will need a drink as well as all the lovely food. These milkshakes are a great idea- make up a batch in a couple of princess colours (strawberry and banana are perfect) and then serve them in cute little milk bottles.
