If you’re hosting a mountain party then you will need a few ideas of what to feed your guests. We’ve rounded up some really tasty mountain party food that would also work if you’re hosting a lumberjack party, camping party or forest party.
Mountain krispie cakes
These Rice Krispie treats look great as mini mountain peaks. They’re also really easy to make, you can even get the kids involved. Make a big slab krispie cake. When it’s set cute into triangles and then dip them into white chocolate and green melts to make them look like mountains.
Tasty twigs
These tasty twigs are a fun nod to the theme, especially if you have more of a lumberjack/ woodland vibe going on. These sweet treats will be popular with both kids and adults.
Bear macarons
These cute little bears are perfect for a mountain party. I love their little expressions which you can replicate yourself using black icing. If you’re not an expert macaron baker, you can still DIY these using shop-bought brown macarons and then add chocolate buttons for ears.
Bear poop
What’s the phrase? Do bears poop in the woods (or a slightly ruder version!) Have bowls of bear poop (chocolate covered raisins or nuts) for your guests.

Woodland berry dip
Serve up a fresh fruit platter and dip with some lovely woodland berries. Blackberries and raspberries are favourites along with strawberries and blueberries.

Pine tree cupcakes
Fitting with a mountain theme perfectly, these pine tree cupcakes are super easy to recreate for your party. A chocolate cupcake topped with chocolate or vanilla frosting and then decorated with a plastic pine tree. The plaid cupcake case finishes off the look.

Go fish
This is a fun mountain food DIY to prepare ahead of the party. Use large pretzel sticks, then dip into chocolate. Add a little line and float to make your fishing road complete.

Pinecone cheese log
Make sure you have something savoury on hand for your guests with this impressive looking pinecone cheese log. Decorate a soft cheese with nuts or seeds to make it look like a pinecone. Extra rosemary garnish adds to the forest feel.
Glacier water
Need a drink idea to fit with the mountain theme? How about this glacier water. Use a bit of food colouring to get the right glacial look and remember to add lots of ice.

Thanks for including my Rice krispie treats!
