Kids love a party game and there are loads to choose from when you’re having a Chuggington party. Try to have a few games ready to go incase the kids get a bit restless before food. Anything train-themed is sure to be a hit.
A pinata is always fun at a party and you can make it perfect for the theme by getting a Chuggington one. Just make sure there’s nothing breakable within hitting distance, especially if you set it up indoors!
Get them playing corners with these Chuggington signs. Put a sign in each corner of the room/ garden and have an adult in the middle with their eyes closed. Tell the children to run to the corners (make sure they are all in different ones). Then the adult with their eyes closed calls out one of the names of the corners. All the children in that corner are out! The winner is the child left at the end of the game.
Make this fun train really easily out of cardboard boxes and rolls of paper. The party children can then choose a carriage or be the driver and you can lead them in singing some train songs.
Train photo booth
Either make or buy a train photo booth for your party guests to pose in. Provide some dressing up clothes as well to add to the fun.
Paint your own
This activity doubles up as a great party favor for your guests to take home. Set up a table with paints or pens, and a train to paint. It can be wooden or ceramic. Provide aprons if you think it might get messy!
Toss the coal in the hole
A great variation on the party favourite bean bag toss game. This time it’s tossing the coal in the hole! Easily made using a cardboard box and some balls sprayed black. You could even scrunch up black paper to make it easier for very little kids.
Train track conga
Lead the party guests on a train conga around the house or back yard. Just tape off some train tracks onto the floor, get them all in line and start up the music!
